Kent
Gade came to Iowa in 1970 to teach and coach Boys
Basketball in Griswold. After a successful career in teaching and
coaching Kent was given the opportunity to go into the insurance
business. In 1986, Kent resigned his positions at Griswold Community
Schools and began the business of Gade Insurance.
Since that time the agency has
grown from one office in Griswold to offices in Atlantic and Council
Bluffs.
Kent has always been involved
in community activities and with a special interest in the youth. He
serves as national Director of the elks National Drug Awareness
Programs. Kent donates a lot of time speaking to youth and parents
about the dangers of alcohol, tobacco and illegal drug use and
abuse.
Kent is married and he and Julie have four children. Julie is active
in the marketing division of Gade Insurance.
Besides spoiling his
grandchildren Kent loves to golf, fish, and whenever possible,
relax. Kent has also served on the Griswold Volunteer Fire
Department for 28 years, the last 10 as Assistant Chief. |
